Maltese Synchro swimmers participated in the Austrian Youth Competition in Vienna. This competition hosted more than 250 competitors from 13 different countries including Russia which is the world's strongest country in this sport. The Maltese synchro girls gave excellent performances and also managed to get a podium finish, winning bronze in the team combination.
The Malta head coach, Saho Harada said ‘The girls have been training very hard and it paid off. Each time I go abroad as the National coach of Malta, they make me proud. The Maltese girls' potential and possibilities are unlimited.’ The swimmers, all under the age of 12 years, were Kristina Camenzuli, Hayley Camilleri, Neeve Cauchi, Ana Culic, Maya Galea, Emily Loucaides, Vanessa Mairangas, Victoria Pace, Hanna Rizzo and Charlotte Spencer.
