A LEN delegation made up of First Vice President Josip Varvodic and Bureau Member Milos Mracevic has just completed a visit to Malta as guests of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta.

Hosted by the newly elected President Karl Izzo, the LEN representatives acknowledged the federation’s excellent work as shown in the very good results obtained from the Games of Small Nations.

During the visit, the delegation visited a state of art pool complex being built on the island of Gozo as well as the new olympic indoor pool which is about to be opened in the south of Malta. They also attended a press conference to launch the waterpolo polo summer season as well as the season opener President’s Cup and  Super Cup attended by the country’s President George Vella KOM KCMG.

There were also fruitful meetings with the Minister of Tourism and Culture Clayton Bartolo, Minister of Gozo Clint Camilleri and the CEO of Sportmalta Mark Cutajar with various options of how ASA Malta can support LEN on its mission to help develop aquatics were discussed.
